-As over 500 residents get August ratio of “Apo -Anu” food support

Constituents in Ikorodu Federal Constituency have been reassured of another mega empowerment by their representative in the House of Representatives, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, which according to him is a way of saying thank you to his constituents for their support.
Rep. Benson gave the assurance at the August 2026 edition of his monthly “Apo Anu” food distribution to over 500 constituents who are elderly men and women, widows and widowers, persons living with disabilities, students and others, held at his constituency office in Ikorodu at the weekend.
The lawmaker who was accompanied by his son, was joined by his llHon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, Chairman, Imota LCDA, Princess Abisoye Jimoh, Vice Chairman, Imora LCDA, Hon. Gbenga Oshin, former representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Mr Adams Kehinde (Lege Miami), a content creator and leader of the Eko 57 Group, actor, Yomi Fashlaso, and Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, Edit Secret, LGEA Ikorodu LG among others.

The three -term lawmaker who said that the administration of President Tinubu Bola has delivered on his promises and that he has facilitated several projects, stressed that the empowerment is part of his ways to impact Ikorodu constituents and make them happy.
“On our part, we are going to do another mega empowerment and I am happy that those of you here (beneficiaries of the monthly Apo Anu Food Bank), are not politicians. It is constituents that this empowerment is meant for; you will be the major beneficiaries because you are the real voters and you are our priority. The constituents who are not politicians are in majority and our representation is to please you.
“All the hospitals that we are building; employment opportunities that we are facilitating; schools that we are building, and the beneficiaries of our China training programmes are mainly from the constituents.”

He stated that the empowerment program is being encouraged by President Tinubu and the Lagos State Governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.
He assured that his party’s governorship candidate has similarities with former governors -Alhaji Lateef Jakande, President Bola Tinubu, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN and will also have same similarities with the incumbent governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo -Olu, when he completes his term next year.
Rep. Benson specially thanked the Association of Master Bakers & Caterers of Nigeria, Ikorodu Local Government Branch, for donating over 600 loaves of bread to be distributed alongside the “Apo Aanu” packages.

The Executive Chairman, Imota, Hon Sunday Benson Ayodele, speaking lauded the federal lawmaker for his projects across Ikorodu especially in his council area, adding that his support is a continuation of roles in his emergence as the council chairman.
Hon Gbenga Oshin also appreciated Rep. Benson for his quality representation and direct impacts on constituents.
Some of the beneficiaries of Apo Aanu Food distribution for the month of August 2026, also commended the lawmaker for the food support and the sustenance of the noble gesture.
Mrs Fatimah David, a resident of Ikorodu North LCDA, who is attending the distribution for the first time, speaking with our reporter, said:

“I am so happy that I am collecting this food package today. If we have others doing this too, the country will be better for it. We really appreciate Hon. Babajimi Benson’s gesture and all that he has been doing for Ikorodu.”
“I am so happy that when I am eating this food with my family, I will be praying for him, because he is providing us with strength and energy with the food items,” she said.
Another first timer, Adedayo Alejo, from Imota LCDA, also appreciated the lawmaker for the food gesture and for facilitating numerous developments to Ikorodu.

“I want to appreciate Hon. Babajimi Benson for the free food that he is giving us, and for bringing developments to Ikorodu federal constituency. This is a means of giving those that cannot afford the high cost of food items the opportunity to also have access to good and nutritious meals.”
“I want to appreciate this gesture. We will go and tell those that are not privileged to come that it is real, because some people still believe that it’s a lie but I am in a position to confirm that it is not.”
He assured the lawmaker of his support always: “We are going to stand with him, and we will render any assistance to him in the coming election.”
